Every object has a past life. A chair that sat through decades of dinner parties. A cabinet that held someone else's letters, someone else's secrets. A vase that has already seen more sunsets than most of us will.
Velvet Hour was founded on a simple, slightly stubborn belief: people from the past had really good taste, and somewhere along the way, we forgot that. Mid-century masters, postwar craftsmen, the design icons whose names you know and the artisans whose names you should — they understood proportion, materiality, and patience in a way that fast furniture never will. So we went looking for what they made to give them a second act.
Live, Curated.

In order to solve brand identity successfully by blending luxury with approachability, rather than just having generic aesthetic or traditional mood boards, I decided to do a benchmark of other luxury brands in Europe and United States.
A mood board was also needed in order to organize the ideas that resulted from investigation.
The Process

This icon set blends mid-century motifs squiggles, sparkles, blob-stars with soft, organic shapes echoing 2026's curved furniture trends.

Pieces you'll still love in ten years. We don't do trends that fade by spring.
My goal was to completely move away from cold, clinical minimalism and instead create a presentation that mixes luxury and playfulness.
The deck's color progression intentionally takes the viewer on an atmospheric journey.
I selected the presentation’s background in a deep, warm terracotta background for the opening and narrative slides so that the entire design is not only faithful to the brand, but also brings a representation of Autumn’s vibe.
